9/11

Knowing the total effect of what happened, and understanding that it was not just a couple of plane crashes that took down a few buildings, would not be possible for me if it were not documented with photographs and videos.  In 2001 I was in first grade and have no recollection of 9/11 so the event would not be significant.
In this particular case the only way you could go overboard on the photographs you took is if it were all of human guts or decapitated people.  Showing a few dead bodies out of the hundreds of pictures they took only shows the reality of the setting and the truth of the surroundings you would see if you were there on that day.
So if there were no photographs or videos showing me what happened that day I would still to this day not have the full knowledge of this tragedy, the photographers capturing the event is what makes us remember.
